European Workers Solutions supplies skilled, pre-vetted Romanian construction workers to contractors and construction companies across Austria. Whether you are managing residential construction, commercial development, civil works, or specialist infrastructure projects, we provide reliable, fully EU-compliant workforce solutions matched to the requirements of the Austrian construction market.
Austria has a strong and consistently active construction sector, yet faces significant structural workforce challenges. Domestic labour supply in key trades — particularly structural workers, concrete specialists, scaffolders, and finishing tradespeople — cannot meet project demand. Romanian construction workers, with their strong trade qualifications, EU status, and experience on international sites, have become a natural and legally straightforward solution for Austrian contractors and project managers.
Romania and Austria share a close working relationship within the EU construction labour market. Romanian workers have been active on Austrian sites for many years and are well known among Austrian contractors for their professionalism, strong trade skills, and reliability. As EU citizens, Romanian workers require no work authorisation and can be posted to Austria under the EU framework quickly and with minimal administrative complexity.
European Workers Solutions handles the full process — from candidate identification and skills verification to BUAK registration, Employment documentation is handled by our team.
We source and deploy workers across all major construction disciplines for projects throughout Austria. Available trades include:
Structural and civil works: formwork carpenters, reinforcement fixers, concrete finishers, civil groundworkers, earthworks operatives.
Specialist trades: scaffolders, structural steelworkers, welders (MIG/MAG/TIG), crane and excavator operators.
Finishing and fit-out: bricklayers, plasterers, tilers, drywall fixers (Trockenbau), painters and decorators, roofers, floor layers, insulation workers.
MEP trades: electricians, plumbers and pipe fitters.
General: site labourers, material handlers, logistics operatives.
All workers are individually pre-screened with verifiable project experience. For a full overview of available profiles and trade categories, visit our Services page.
Austria has specific and well-enforced requirements for posting foreign workers. Compliance is non-negotiable, and European Workers Solutions manages all obligations as part of our standard service.
ZKO Notification (Central Coordination Office): All employers placing workers to Austria must submit an advance notification to the ZKO (Zentrale Koordinationsstelle) before work begins. We complete ZKO notifications for all workers and maintain required documentation throughout the posting.

Employers are required to register worker with BUAK and make the required contributions. European Workers Solutions handles BUAK registration as part of our compliance package.
Employment documentation is handled by our team.
Minimum Wage Compliance: Austrian construction wages are governed by sectoral collective agreements (Kollektivvertrag). worker must receive at least the applicable Austrian minimum rate for their trade classification. We ensure all pay arrangements are compliant before workers begin.

Romania and Austria share the same language root — Romanian workers generally have a stronger base for learning German than other nationalities, and many have sufficient German for day-to-day site communication. For roles requiring fluent German — supervision, safety coordination — we specifically screen for language ability during recruitment.
Accommodation in Vienna and other major Austrian cities can be expensive. We recommend confirming housing arrangements well before mobilisation. We can assist with identifying suitable worker accommodation near your project site on request.
Romanian workers are familiar with Austrian construction standards and site culture from prior project experience. They integrate well into Austrian site teams and maintain strong performance records when working conditions are well-organised.
